Knowledge Center Bot
Revamped Knowledge Center Bot: Modular, Personalized, and Easier to Manage (BETA)
The Knowledge Center Bot (KC Bot) has been reimagined from the ground up to give you a faster, more intuitive, and flexible experience. The new modular editor simplifies bot creation with powerful targeting, layout options and centralized setup process.
IMPORTANT: This feature is currently in open beta and can be enabled upon request through your CSM for interested accounts. |
Whether you are looking to streamline onboarding, deliver contextual help, or promote key content, the new bot helps you do it all, along with eliminating the need to manage multiple bots or jumping between configuration screens.
Key Highlights:
- Modular Widgets: Use the streamlined editor to organize your bot into modular widgets such as Search, Task List, Recommendations, and the new Content Group for greater clarity and control.
- Content Group Widget: Add up to five content groups per bot to categorize and display related content. Ideal for organizing guides, resources, or onboarding flows, and useful or important links in a user-friendly layout.
- Tailored Audience Targeting: Deliver personalized task lists and recommendations by targeting based on user or account attributes, page URLs, or global context. This enables progressive onboarding and efficient enablement by providing specific task lists based on where users are in the product journey.
- Centralized Content Library: Manage all your bot content such as articles, links, and more, in one place. Update once, and reflect changes across any bot using these resources. You can also upload images for content, which can be used in the newly introduced visual layouts within the bot.
- Layouts with Image Support: Choose from list, card, grid, or thumbnail layouts to present content visually. Add images directly from the editor or link them in the Content Library to grab user attention.
- Bot Theme and Visual Controls: Customize the look and feel of your bot with simplified theme settings. Styling options have been condensed into a simplified, impactful set, making it easier and quicker to apply consistent branding across your bot.
- Bot Preview: Quickly preview how each bot looks and behaves right from the bot list view, without needing to open them individually.
Here are a few samples of KC Bots that can be created with the new and improved interface:

Administration
Update on Bulk PX User Management Feature
The ability to bulk create and update PX users through CSV upload, previously announced in the January 2025 Release Notes, has been put on hold. We are reassessing the rollout timeline and will provide further updates and documentation once a new schedule is confirmed.
Enhancements
Analytics
[Know More]Create Account Segments using CSV
Building on the capability to create user segments, PX now allows you to create account segments by importing a CSV. You can upload a file containing a list of specific accounts and instantly convert it into a usable segment that can be used in engagements, analytics, or dashboards.
This enhancement allows you to efficiently create account segments from existing lists, enabling more targeted analysis and engagement across PX.
For more information on how to create accounts segments, refer to the Segments article.
Track Product-Level Activity with New Attributes
PX Analytics now provides Product First Seen and Product Last Seen attributes for both users and accounts. These help identify when a user or account first engaged with a specific product and when they were last active within it, making it easier to analyze behavior in multi-product environments.
The timestamp columns available in Audience Explorer and Account Explorer represent the following activities:
- Product First Seen: Date and time when the user or account first interacted with a specific product.
- Product Last Seen: Most recent activity timestamp within a specific product.
- Last Seen: Latest activity timestamp across any product in the subscription (not product-specific).
These attributes are available as columns in Audience Explorer and Account Explorer, and can also be used as custom filters across PX for advanced analysis and segmentation.
Group by Multiple Event Attributes in Query Builder
Query Builder now supports grouping by multiple attributes on the event side. You can add up to five event-level attributes in a single query, allowing for deeper, more flexible breakdowns of product usage.
This enhancement makes it easier to uncover trends and analyze behavior across combinations such as country, city, platform, and more, all within a single view. When combined with audience-level grouping, you can slice and dice data by up to 10 attributes in total.
For more information on how to group multiple events or attributes, refer to the Query Builder article.
Measure Task List Performance in KC Bot
Knowledge Center Bot analytics now includes a dedicated Task List KPI widget to track how users engage with checklists added to the bot. You can view how many users qualified for a checklist, how many started it, and how many completed it.
This enhancement helps you assess whether a task list is effective, identify users who may need further guidance, and make informed updates to improve self-service and product onboarding.
For more information, refer to the Understand Knowledge Center Bot Analytics article.
Product Mapper
[Know More]Delete Mapped Items from In-App Product Mapper
Gainsight now supports deleting features or modules directly from the in-app product mapper, making it easier to manage and maintain your product hierarchy without switching tools. Previously available only in the standard product mapper, this capability is now extended to the in-app experience,
If an item, such as a removed button or an incorrectly mapped module is no longer needed, click the Edit icon in the product tree of the in-app mapper, and select Delete.
For more information on how to remove parts of the product tree, refer to the Additional Features in Product Mapper article.
Deprecation of Old In-App Product Mapper
Starting May 07, 2025, Gainsight will deprecate the old in-app mapper, and the ability to switch to the V1 in-app mapper using the V1 button will no longer be available. Going forward, the new in-app mapper will be the default.
