Enhancements

Analytics

PX Analytics helps you to keep your finger on the pulse of product adoption and user satisfaction. You can monitor the metrics that matter to you with custom dashboards, discover which features drive retention within each customer segment and user cohort, map and track customer adoption goals, analyze trends by customer segment, and more.

The following enhancements have been implemented in the Query Builder:

Enhancement Description
Export Query Builder Report to CSV You can now export the Query Builder report data as a CSV file to suit your needs of insights or further analysis.
Customize Labels for Events and Audience in Query Builder Gainsight PX allows you to customize the name of the event or audience on the Query Builder filter. This helps you easily understand the events or audience pertaining to the filtered query. The event labels are auto-populated from the last part of the selected feature name and you can modify them. These labels are displayed in the Query Builder chart area as legends, and in the data rows.
Account Attributes in Query Builder

You can group the analytics data by account attribute by selecting the attribute in the Group By field of the Query Builder Audience filter.

You can define the custom account attributes from the Administration > Attributes page.

For more information, refer to the Query Builder article.

Add Custom Dashboard Widget Using Query Builder Report

Users can now add the Query Builder widget on custom dashboards. The Query Builder visualizes the chosen Query Builder report that is generated to analyze different cohorts and behaviors for custom events, in the Analytics section. In addition to the existing time series format, you can now view the report data on the widget in bar or pie chart formats.

For more information on report widgets that you can configure in PX, refer to the Widgets in Gainsight PX article.

Engagements

Engagements are the communications that are executed through product (in-app) or emails for a specific audience at a specific time. These communications can be interactive in nature which helps you to share information, receive feedback, and engage customers with your product. The overall goal of using engagements is to increase your customer's product usage.

A new three-option Rating survey engagement type with smileys is now available. You can launch the rating surveys with three smiley face options - Unsatisfied, Neutral and Satisfied. These smileys correspond to 1, 3, and 5 scores respectively of the existing 5-stars rating survey engagement.

Note: The engagement analytics (Survey Performance) report displays the smiley rating survey results comparing the 5-stars rating survey scores mentioned.

For more information, refer to the Use Rating Survey article.

Gainsight PX now provides you an option to specify the opacity value for the color of the Badge icon in the Guide engagement. This helps you make the Badge icon transparent/opaque, partially transparent or translucent on the target application where the Guide engagement is launched.

Knowledge Center Bot

Knowledge Center Bot is an onboarding assistant that guides users in learning your product. The bot contains links to engagements and external URLs in order to effectively onboard new users, as well as educate existing users. Optionally, you can also integrate your knowledge base (eg. Zendesk or Mindtouch) content to display in the bot.

Knowledge Center Bot Enhancements

The following enhancements have been implemented in the Knowledge Center Bot:

Modify Width of KC Bot

Modify the default width of the KC Bot window to cater to the screen size of your application.

Device Rule in Audience Criteria

Gainsight PX now allows you to configure your Knowledge Center Bot audience using the Device rule. Include or exclude devices to filter your target audience.

Example Business Use Case:

  • When you want the Knowledge Center Bot to appear only to the audience using the desktop version of the product/page.
  • When you do not want the Knowledge Center Bot to appear to those users using the mobile version of the product/page.
Floating KC Bot Badge and Window Gainsight PX now allows you to drag and drop the Bot badge along with the KC Bot window across the screen as per your convenience.

For more information, refer to the Knowledge Center Bot article.

Mobile

The Gainsight PX is a powerful application that helps you create in-app engagements to track various events from your mobile application. The Gainsight PX mobile SDK can be used by mobile developers to integrate Gainsight PX into their mobile application. This integration allows Gainsight PX to send real-time events from your mobile app.

Gainsight PX now introduces Boolean Surveys for mobile applications. Boolean surveys are well suited specifically for mobile applications to get the feedback with minimal effort from the users. You can customize the boolean surveys by choosing the pre-defined templates of binary options with text, thumbs up, smileys etc. Further, you can also select any images to represent the binary options.

For more information on mobile engagements, refer to the Create Engagements for Mobile App article.

Product Mapper

Product Mapper helps in describing your product features with a simple "point, click, and describe."  Each mapped feature can be viewed hierarchically within your Product Feature Tree.

Clone your product feature tree to create a copy and thereby reduce the efforts of creating the similar feature tree from scratch. You can use the find and replace functions to modify the URL, UI Element and Module/Feature values in the cloned module.

Example Business Case: Users want to create a product tree to track user events on multiple environments of the product such as Staging, QA and Production.

For more information, refer to the Clone Product Feature Tree article.

Gainsight PX now allows you to configure feature rules and guide tooltip matching using the UI Text Element in the Product Mapper for tracking user events. You can specify the text of the element in the rule that corresponds with that element's label (such as button label or text label), to identify elements when there are multiple UI elements with similar CSS.

For more information, refer to the Instrument Your Product Using Product Mapper article.
