Enhancements
Dashboard
Dashboards provide quick insight into different key metrics related to product QBR, growth, and adoption. Users can also create their own unique dashboard to access the metrics that matter to them, at a glance.
Global Filters in Custom Dashboards
Gainsight PX introduces Global Filters for custom dashboards. This helps users to apply the same filter to all the widgets in the custom dashboard at once. Following are the filters that can be applied as Global Filters:
- User
- Account
- Inferred Company
- Inferred Location
- Location
- Account Location
Along with Global Filters, you can also apply widget-level filters as required. Global and widget level filters when applied together use AND logic between the two sets of filters.
Notes:
- Hover on the Global Filter icon to view the details of the applied filters.
- Global filters or widget level filters cannot be applied to Funnel widgets in dashboards.
For more information, refer to the Set Filter Criteria for the Widgets section of the Configure PX Dashboards article.
Analytics
PX Analytics helps you to keep your finger on the pulse of product adoption and user satisfaction. You can monitor the metrics that matter to you with custom dashboards, discover which features drive retention within each customer segment and user cohort, map and track customer adoption goals, analyze trends by customer segment, and more.
Retention Analysis Widget Powered by Retention Reports
Retention Analysis widget can now be powered by Retention Analysis report of your choice that was created in the Analytics section. When you click the widget, you can select the Retention report from a list of Retention Analysis reports much like other report widgets.
Analytics Drill-Down
With the Analytics Drill-Down feature, PX takes you one step further into showing the users or accounts behind the numbers. Query Builder is the first to get this enhanced ability to drill down from the query result numbers to a detailed list of the underlying users or accounts. You can click the user or account count from the query result to navigate to the users or accounts list view.
In the case of users, a further drill-down on an individual user helps you view the user profile and check their recent activity and engagements. Within the drill-down view of the Query Builder, you can switch between different cohorts as well as between different time periods.
Note: The users or accounts list can be exported as a CSV file.
Query Builder Group By Enhancement
Query Builder results related to surveys, can now display results Grouped By options of survey Score and Score type across NPS, CES, Rating, and Boolean surveys, allowing for a deeper analysis of the survey results.
Engagements
Engagements are the communications that are executed through product (in-app) or emails for a specific audience at a specific time. These communications can be interactive in nature which helps you to share information, receive feedback, and engage customers with your product. The overall goal of using engagements is to increase your customer's product usage.
Multi Question Survey Enhancements
IMPORTANT: This feature will be available on or after Feb 9, 2022. |
Gainsight PX now lets you add and create multiple survey questions in a single step. This reduces the number of user clicks required to complete the survey, and increases the adoption of the engagement. Prior to this release, multi-question surveys were limited to multiple pages containing a single question per page.
You can now also include a rating question within a Multi-Question Survey and customize the numerical range, color and shape of all the rating buttons.
Note: This feature is available only when you create multiple survey questions in a single step.
For more information on how to build a Multi Question Engagement, refer to the Use Multi Question Survey article.
Knowledge Center Bot
Knowledge Center Bot is an onboarding assistant that guides users in learning your product. The bot contains links to engagements and external URLs in order to effectively onboard new users, as well as educate existing users. Optionally, you can also integrate your knowledge base (eg. Zendesk or Mindtouch) content to display in the bot.
New Article Home
Knowledge Center Bot has a new Articles section, a one-stop location to create, manage and localize the articles. This feature makes creating and managing content for Bots more efficient.
The feature brings in the following capabilities:
- The search option to find the required articles.
- The enhanced Article List View with the KC Bot details where each article is added.
- The Localization tab to translate the article content in different languages.
For more information on how to create and localize articles, refer to the Create Articles for Knowledge Center Bot article.
Capability to Launch KC Bot from Iframe
You can now launch the Bot while clicking the element from an iframe. Prior to this release, the embedded KC Bot could be launched when the user clicked on the mapped element but not when the same element was clicked from an iframe.
Mobile
Gainsight PX is a powerful application that helps you create in-app engagements to track various events from your mobile application. The Gainsight PX mobile SDK can be used by mobile developers to integrate Gainsight PX into their mobile application. This integration allows Gainsight PX to send real-time events from your mobile app.
Support for Hybrid Mobile
Gainsight PX mobile SDK now supports mobile apps built on Hybrid Mobile frameworks such as Cordova, Ionic, Sencha Touch/ExtJS. Mobile apps built on these technologies can integrate the new Hybrid Mobile SDK and leverage the value of PX.
For more information on configuring PX mobile SDK for hybrid mobile technologies, refer to the Gainsight PX Hybrid Mobile SDK article.
Product Mapper
Product Mapper helps in describing your product features with a simple "point, click, and describe." Each mapped feature can be viewed hierarchically within your Product Feature Tree.
Show Mapped Features
Product Mapper is now has a Show mapped features option that helps you view the features mapped already in the selected URL of your application. This helps in identifying the features that are yet to be mapped thus avoiding duplicate mapping.
Create Features with Only Text Matches
Product Mapper Selector is now enhanced with the Match Text option that can create features with text match only. Prior to this release, it was mandatory to have a CSS selector to create features. However, applications with dynamic UI elements often run into CSS selector match issues. This enhancement eliminates such issues and provides flexibility to map the unique elements faster.
Note: Features created using this option cannot be backfilled.
Integration
PX offers a variety of integration options, for the purposes of enhancing productivity (Slack or Zendesk), as well as for data integration (S3, Segment, Gainsight CS, etc.), and to connect your documentation sources with the PX knowledge center bot (Mindtouch, Zendesk, HelpDocs, Salesforce).
S3 Utility to Import Accounts to PX
PX Integrations now adds a new feature that helps to import accounts similar to the User Import integration. Gainsight PX can import daily updates to user data from a pre-defined directory structure in an AWS S3 bucket.
For more information on the S3 bucket directory structure and file rules , refer to the S3 Account and User Import article.
