This article provides the latest April 2026 updates and enhancements in Skilljar by Gainsight, featuring comprehensive insights on new features, improvements, and functionalities designed to elevate user engagement.

Release Date: April 14, 2026

Enhancement

Upgraded Stripe Integration

Skilljar now supports a Stripe integration built on Checkout Sessions, Stripe’s current checkout platform. With this update, learners continue to browse content and review purchases in Skilljar, but complete the final payment step on a Stripe-hosted checkout page instead of within Skilljar.

This upgrade modernizes the checkout experience and gives customers access to key e-commerce capabilities that were not available in the legacy Stripe integration.

Limitations

  • The option to save payment methods for future use is not currently available.
  • Existing Skilljar promo codes are not migrated automatically and must be recreated in Stripe.

Enhancements

Smarter Group Visibility with Category Filters

Skilljar by Gainsight introduces a new Group Category filter for Group Visibility in Courses, Paths, Plans, and Pages. Admins can filter groups by category and apply visibility settings to all groups in that category in a single step, instead of selecting each group individually.

This enhancement saves time when managing a large number of groups across segments, regions, or account types by reducing repetitive steps and simplifying visibility setup.

What's New:

  • Filter by Group Category when configuring visibility on courses, paths, plans, and pages
  • Apply visibility settings to all groups within a category in bulk
  • Reduce manual effort when rolling out content to large, segmented audiences

New Group Category filter  For more information, refer to the Setting Visibility and Access for a Published Course, Catalog Page, Plan, or Published Path article.

Bulk Upload Live Training Events

Create and update multiple live training events using CSV upload to reduce manual effort and ensure consistent scheduling of Instructor Led Training (ILT) sessions.

With this enhancement, admins can upload event details such as the lesson ID, event name, schedule, instructor details, location, capacity, and tags.

What’s New:

  • A new Import Events button is added to the Live Training page.
  • Create and update multiple live training events in a single import.
