Allow List Trusted IP Addresses

Gainsight NXT - Articles Impacted due to 6.37 July, 2023 Release

IMPORTANT - Please note that as a result of the changes made to the navigation menu in 6.37 July 2023 release, there will be updates required in the documentation. Gainsight’s Technical Communication team anticipates these updates to be implemented over the next 1-2 quarters. During this period, there may be instances where the documentation does not accurately reflect the new navigation structure, menu grouping, or name changes. Our team will be working diligently to ensure that the impacted documents align with the revised navigation structure and provide accurate information. Thank you for your continued support.

Overview

Admins can control where and how their org is accessed by allowing a list of trusted IP addresses for their org. Once a network is added, it is considered trusted, and attempts to access the org from outside the trusted IP address range will be blocked. This is a powerful security tool to prevent malicious activity within your org.

Note: Gainsight Mobile honors the trusted IP address range unless designated otherwise. To learn more about this configuration, refer to Bypass Mobile.

To add an IP address to allow list, take the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Administration > Trusted IP Ranges.

  2. Click New.

  3. Enter the IP Address and a description of the network.

  4. Click Save.

IP Allow listing settings configured in the web application are honored in Mobile. If you want to disable the IP allow listing settings for mobile access, turn ON the Bypass Mobile toggle button on the Network Access tab in the web application.
