Version 6.5.4 (Patch), September 24, 2019

Gainsight Data Management

Gainsight Data Management offers you the flexibility and full control over your object structure, schema and data within Gainsight. Create and edit all aspects of your data design through an administrative interface to continually develop your Gainsight schema with your evolving business.

  1. Support for Norwegian Currency: Gainsight now supports the Norwegian currency Krone. The currency code is NOK. You can now create custom fields which support the Norwegian currency and perform your business transactions with the same.

    To use this enhancement:
    1. Navigate to Administration > Operations > Data Management. The Gainsight Data Objects window is displayed.
    2. Select a standard or custom object.
    3. Click ADD FIELD
    4. Select Currency as the Data type field.
    5. Type NOK in the Currency code field and select Norwegian Krone (NOK) option.

Report Builder

Gain deep customer insight with Reports and Dashboards. Gainsight’s ability to blend together multiple data sources provides a structured, holistic picture of the customer across all types of vendor/customer interactions. Using an intuitive interface and compelling visualizations, each of your customer-facing functions can build their own strategic view to get actionable insights, fast.

  1. Disable Data Exports in Reporting: Admins can now restrict all users from exporting Reports from Report Builder, GS Home Dashboards and 360 pages.

Use Case: For instance, you may want to restrict your users from exporting reports to ensure that your business information/data is secure and confidential. After you enable this option, only admins can export reports.

    To Disable Data Exports:

    1. Navigate to Administration > Analytics > Report Builder.
    2. Click options (three dots) on the upper right corner of the screen.
    3. Click Report Settings.
    4. Enable the Disable export of reports on Gainsight Home and 360 pages checkbox.

Mobile App Version 1.1.3 (Patch), September 17, 2019

Gainsight Mobile App

Gainsight Mobile App helps CSMs, Account Managers, and Executives to quickly get customer information while on the go – whether they’re headed to a customer meeting, traveling, meeting customers at conferences, or juggling a busy schedule. With limited time and many customers, CSMs and AMs also need to quickly know if key customers are at risk. Gainsight Mobile App allows you to access Timeline Activities, key customer information using Sally, and view Notifications received directly from your smartphone while on the go!

  1. Ability to re-sync events using Try Again: Calendar connection is now enhanced with a new capability called Try Again. Users can now tap Try Again to re-sync the calendar events in case of any failure.
  • Try Again can be used only once.
  • If Try again fails, it means something might have went wrong and we recommend you to contact Gainsight Support.

  1. Ability to Reauthorize the user access: Calendar connection is now enhanced with a new capability called Reauthorize. Tapping Reauthorize helps Gainsight request calendar access again for users whose account has been revoked for some external reasons.

  1. Introducing a Notification Banner in the Notification Center: You can now see the following Notification Banner in the Notification Center, only when you don't allow permissions to push notifications. This option will let you Allow Permissions for Push Notifications anytime within the App, without having to navigate to the Mobile Settings.
Note: You can view the Notification Banner only if there is at least one notification in the Notification Center.

Few other updates:

  1. Any changes to an event such as StartDate, EndDate, Subject are now honored (addition or deletion of internal or external attendees, etc.), 15 min before the meeting.

  2. Calendar connection can now send pre-meeting notifications to the organizers and all internal attendees (mobile users) of a meeting/event, except for the ones who have declined it.

Version 6.5.3 (Hotfix & Patch), September 4, 2019

Issues Addressed

Dashboard Builder

  1. Unable to enable the Dashboard Permissions: Previously, when Admins tried to enable dashboard permissions for users, the system threw an error. This issue is resolved now.

Journey Orchestrator

  1. Change in Derived Mapping in JO Stopping Display of Synced Participants: Previously, participants were affected if Admins performed the following steps in Journey Orchestrator:
    1. Create a JO with one source.
    2. Select mapping and create a derived mapping.
    3. Sync participants.
    4. Modify derived mappings for Custom field.

The participants were not displayed when Admins navigated to the participants screen, without syncing, after performing any of the above steps. This issue is now resolved.
  2. Unable to Delete Event Source from Programs in Draft State: Previously, there was an issue that stopped users from deleting Event source from the Programs, even in draft state. This issue is now resolved.

Connectors 2.0

  1. Unable to Create Out of the Box Jobs for PX Connector: Previously, when you tried to create an out of the box job for the PX connector, the process failed and returned an error. This issue is now resolved and you can now create Out of the box jobs in the PX Connector.

Version 6.5.2 (Hotfix), August 26, 2019

Issues Addressed

  1. Picklist values displayed for Scorecard History/Snapshot standard reports in Dashboard: Previously, when you used a Standard report and a habits report on dashboard, picklist values were generated for the Standard report, which was created using a measure. With this solution, you must manually enter the filter values for the Standard report in a Dashboard and also in the Report Builder page.

  • If you have applied measure filters in a Dashboard for Standard Reports on Scorecard History/Snapshot, you must now clear the filter or reset the filter.
  • If a Standard report created on Account/Relationship history object has a scorecard filter, and a measure filter, the values for the measure filter will be displayed as a range, instead of the respective color.
  • For example, measure_value = red [0-25] is now displayed as measure_value = [0,1,2,3,4,....24,25]. To change this, you must re-configure the report.

Version 6.5.2 (Patch), August 20, 2019

Connectors 2.0

Customer data is collected and stored in various data stores in any organization. Connectors are integrations that are offered out of the box to connect the varied data sources and sync information in Gainsight.

  1. Ability to delete any Field Mapping in the Connectors: Admins can now delete any out of the box or custom field mapping, except a few mandatory out of the box mappings. Previously, you could not delete any field mapping. The non-deletable mappings are required even if you create a custom job and select target object as Company, Company Person, or User. This enhancement is applicable to the following Connectors:
  • PX Connector
  • Segment
  • Mixpanel
  • Salesforce Connector (If your Gainsight NXT org is connected to Salesforce through Salesforce Connector)
  • Dynamics Connector (If your Gainsight NXT org is connected to Microsoft Dynamics through Dynamics Connector).

Adoption Explorer

Adoption Explorer helps manage your customer’s usage data in the Gainsight environment, and quickly surface the most relevant view of usage data across your customer base. Adoption Explorer offers powerful segmentation capabilities to manage multiple product lines, more robust control of aggregations and calculations, and totally re-imagined visualizations to surface deep insights. Customer’s usage data at Company and/or Person level can be stored at both daily and weekly level along with their entitlements. Using the ingested data, admins can define new derived fields without the need of Rules Engine.

  1. Ability to Delete Unused Usage Sections: A new page called Usage Sections is introduced under Adoption Explorer Layout page. Admins can view all the Usage Sections created in the Layouts, for a selected project. This page allows Admins to delete the unused usage sections. The delete icon is visible only for the usage sections that are unused.

  1. Ability to Hide/Show all the Weekends: Hide/Show all the Weekends feature in the Layout Detail view page allows users to include or exclude the weekend usage information to calculate metrics.

  1. Ability to Export a Usage Section as CSV: Users can now export the individual Usage Section in the Layout as a CSV file.

  1. Ability to Export a Layout as PDF/Image: From the Layout Detail view page, users can now export the complete Layout as a PDF/Image.

  1. Ability to support Missing dates as Nulls on the Usage Sections: While building usage sections in a project, Admins can now include the dates for which the usage data is Null, for the selected date range. Once you enable Show Missing Dates With Nulls, the visual representation includes the Null data, and users can interpret more thoroughly and make better-informed business decisions.

  1. Configurable Functions on Auto-Rollup from Daily to Weekly: Previously, while creating derived fields, when you select the RollUp to weekly checkbox, it aggregated the data on this field only with the Sum function. With this enhancement, Admins can now select the function type of your choice from the Aggregate Function Type dropdown list, while rolling up weekly data.

Connectors 2.0

  1. Unable to Create Out of the Box Jobs for PX Connector: Previously, when you tried to create an out of the box job for the PX Connector, the process failed and returned an error. This issue is now resolved and you can now create Out of the box jobs in PX Connector.
  2. Incorrect formation of Advanced Criteria in Salesforce Connector: This content is applicable to Gainsight NXT users logged into their orgs and connected through the Salesforce Connector. While configuring data jobs in Salesforce Connector, configuration of Advance Logic in sync filters was formed incorrectly in the backend and it caused configuration failures. This issue is now resolved and Advance Logic in Sync Filters is working as expected.
