BambooHR Set up
The 2-way BambooHR Integration offers comprehensive features designed to streamline HR processes. BambooHR is an all-in-one HR software tailored for small and medium businesses, facilitating the collection, maintenance, and analysis of employee data. It enhances talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation management, and company culture development.
Key Benefits of Northpass Integration with BambooHR
The Northpass integration automates workflows between BambooHR and Northpass, eliminating the need for manual course access provision. Post-integration, you can:
- Add Northpass courses as employee training within BambooHR.
- Automatically schedule training for employees.
Integration Setup Guide
- In BambooHR, go to Settings in the upper right hand corner and select Trainings from the list on the left.
- Select + New Training and fill all the required fields. Choose how the trainings should be assigned to learners, including managing requirements and due dates.
- In your Northpass account, go to Apps and click 'Configure' next to the BambooHR app:
- Select the correct BambooHR domain and click Connect BambooHR.
- You will now be prompted to the Integration window.
Note: The School Owner, who must be the full BambooHR Admin with full admin permissions, must be the one to connect the integration in this step while logged into their BambooHR account. If anyone else does it, the connection will drop when data is sent.
IMPORTANT! Now map your Northpass courses to your BambooHR trainings. Without mapping the courses, the integration will not functioning completely and course completion will not sync properly.
Once you have mapped the Northpass courses to the BambooHR training within Northpass, you will not need to make any changes to the course link provided to your employees within BambooHR. The mapping will automatically populate the accurate Northpass course link in BambooHR for you.
If you cannot find training in the dropdown menu, ensure integration is synced and begin to type the training name in. Instructor-led training cannot be directly mapped to BambooHR. However, when setting up an instructor-led training under the preferences, you can assign them to your courses.
You can create a course with content tied to the event. Then, just link the event to the previously created course and as the last step -- map the course to a training in BambooHR.
Your BambooHR+Northpass Integration is successfully set up! All new employees added in BambooHR will automatically be assigned their training. The new employee will also be automatically added to Northpass. Fields will include an image, work email, first name, and last name
After an employee has completed the Northpass course, the corresponding training will automatically be marked as complete within BambooHR.
Additional BambooHR Settings
Email Alerts
- Go to Settings in the upper right-hand corner.
- Select Email Alerts from the left-hand list.
- Click +Add Alert and select the desired options from the dropdown menu.
Training Alerts
- Adjust settings to receive alerts when an employee has not completed their assigned training.
Employee Termination
- When an employee is marked as terminated in BambooHR, they will lose access to Northpass courses.
