Configure Education Widgets More Easily on Community Pages

The new widget Configuration section streamlines the setup of education widgets on the no-code builder. The updated layout groups common options and provides simpler configuration for visualizations tailored to education widgets.

The Configuration section controls the widget’s appearance and card content. Depending on the selected widget, admins can configure options such as:

• Layout and number of displayed courses
• Heading, subheading, and background colors
• Course descriptions, images, tags, prices, and dates
• Completion, certificate, and progress indicators

Use Federated Search on Skilljar Classic Catalog Pages

The Federated search now supports Skilljar Classic pages. Previously, the Federated search only worked on Builder pages.

This enhancement provides the following improvements:

• The new Search options in the Skilljar Admin Dashboard help admins select the appropriate search experience for each Classic page.
• The Federated Search Banner appears in place of the hero banner on Classic pages.
• Learners can search visible Skilljar courses and Gainsight Customer Communities content from the same search experience.

Admins configure the banner from the dedicated Customer Communities configuration page. The same banner configuration applies to both Builder and Classic Skilljar pages.

Display Upcoming Skilljar VILT Events and Sessions

Customer Communities admins can add Skilljar Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) based widgets to Community pages from the Widget Library. The VILT cards provide learners with key session details, including the date, start time, instructor, delivery method, remaining seats, number of events, and registration status.


The widgets help organizations:

• Promote upcoming sessions that are relevant to learners.
• Remind learners about sessions they have already registered for.
• Provide important event information without requiring learners to leave the Community page.

Admins can configure:

• The information displayed on VILT cards
• The widget’s appearance
• The number of displayed events
• The timeframe used to identify upcoming sessions
• Additional card and display settings
