Skilljar + Gainsight CC Integration

The Skilljar + Gainsight Customer Communities Integration connects your Academy and Community into a single experience with a unified login, unified navigation, education widgets inside Community, and a federated search. Currently, setup is support-led; once the initial connection is in place, admins configure everything else directly in their existing Skilljar and Gainsight CC dashboards.

 

Setup Details

To enable the integration for your organization, create a support ticket with the following details:

• Product: CC
• Subject: SJ-CC Integration
• Description: Request to complete the setup for SJ-CC integration
• SJ Instance ID: <Provide your Skilljar instance ID>
• CC Instance URL: <Provide your CC instance ID>
• Product Category: Skilljar
• Severity: Normal

Key Enhancements

• Shared sign-in experience: Community members and learners sign in once and can access both Skilljar and Gainsight Customer Communities (CC) without signing in again.
• Centralized authentication management: Admins manage authentication settings in Gainsight CC, and those settings apply to both platforms.
• Unified navigation: The Gainsight CC header can replace the native Skilljar header for a more consistent navigation experience.
• Unified profile experience: Community members and learners see the Gainsight CC profile across both platforms, while still being able to access Skilljar-specific learning details.
• Education widgets in CC: Admins can surface Skilljar content such as featured courses, public courses, and learning paths directly on community pages.
• Federated search: Community members and learners can search across Skilljar, Gainsight CC, and other connected sources from a single search experience.
• Reduced friction: Learners can move between community content and training more easily, creating a more connected digital customer experience.

Key Capabilities

Unified Login

Unified Login for Customer Community (CC) and Skilljar enables a seamless single sign-on (SSO) experience across both platforms. With Unified Login, users authenticate once through the Community login page and gain access to both Community and Skilljar without additional sign-in prompts.

Unified Navigation

• Replace the native Skilljar header with the Community header.
• Provide consistent navigation across both platforms.
• Enable Unified Profile, where the Community profile replaces the Skilljar profile.

Federated Search

• Enable a unified search experience across Community and Skilljar.
• Allow users to search content from both platforms using a single search bar.
• Configure search centrally from Gainsight Community.

Education Widgets in Community

Admins can add Education widgets through Gainsight CC to promote Skilljar content such as featured courses, public courses, and learning paths. This helps users discover learning content more easily within the community experience.
