UPDATE 9/8/17You should observe that the Sponsor Tracking service is now working better than ever due to some product enhancements that were part of the Summer release.  We have implemented changes that will help filter out false positives and trivial profile changes (e.g. renaming Gainsight to Gainsight Inc.), and push only valid profile changes to you. Please be patient with us as we work through our backlog of tracking and validation requests over the next few weeks. During this period, there may be some minor delays in pushing profile updates.

If you and your team are using Sponsor Tracking, it's helpful to set up reports to display information on sponsor tracking across customers. With these reports, you can ensure sponsors are tracked for each of your customers, easily identify gaps of sponsors in key accounts, and take action to close these gaps.

Follow these simple steps to set up reports:

Basic Sponsor Tracking Report

Basic Sponsor Tracking Report

1. Navigate to Administration > Report Builder.

2. Select “SponsorTracking” from the data source.

3. In the “Show me” field, add the Account Name, Contact Name, (Sponsor Tracking) Status*, and (Sponsor Tracking) Created Date**.

4. Enter a name for your report, description (optional), and click Save.

*Status:

  • Pending indicates a user initiated tracking for a contact, and Gainsight is in the process of syncing LinkedIn's data.
  • Tracking indicates a user initiated tracking for a contact, and Gainsight is synced with LinkedIn's data.

**Created Date: the date on which a user initiated tracking for a contact.

Sponsor Tracking Change Report

Sponsor Tracking Change Report

To report on sponsors that have recently switched companies and have a healthy (green) score, for example, follow these steps:

1. Select the SponsorTrackingHistory source object.

2. In Show me, add the following fields (or any other relevant fields of your choosing):

  • Account Name
  • Contact Name
  • Last Modified Date
  • Old Value
  • New Value
  • Owner ID Name

3. Create the following two filters (optional):

  • ChangedAttribute = company (to see which sponsors have changed companies recently)
  • Current Score Label = green (to include only customers with a green health score)

4. Enter a name for your report, description (optional), and click Save.

This particular report could be valuable to share with your sales organization, so they can reach out to key sponsors when they move to new companies.

Add Reports to Gainsight Home Dashboards

Optionally, you can add these reports to a Dashboard.
