Create Multi Question Survey Engagements

This article explains how to create a Multi question survey. Gainsight recommends you to first refer to the Anatomy of Engagements article and then proceed with this article. 

Overview

Using Gainsight EE universal editor you'll be able to create advanced in-app and email experiences to guide users to the "a-ha" moment in your product and deliver a winning product experience.

A Multi Question survey is a great way to capture user intent as part of user onboarding or collect targeted feedback on specific topics

Set The Audience

The audience represents the set of behaviors you want to use in order to trigger the right experience. Using Gainsight EE you can use basic audience rule such as user signup date or more advanced rules that represent relevant adoption behaviors by using feature usage rules based on the mapped features and modules.

Choose a Template

Gainsight EE provides out of the box templates but you can create your own and reuse these templates.

Any content used by an engagement is available for reuse automatically!

Edit

Using a simple WYSIWYG  editor you can control the look & feel and content of your engagement without knowing HTML or CSS

Choosing Questions

Multi Question survey supports two types of questions; Multi Choice question and Open text Question.

Use a Multi-Choice Question

In multi-choice questions, you can specify the desired min/max answers that will be set including the look and feel through the visual settings

Use an Open Text Question

Open text question provides users a text box to enter their feedback about a Gainsight feature or module.

An Open text question is displayed as follows:

You can use multiple Multi choice question and Open text questions in your Multi question survey. Apart from Multi choice questions and Open text questions, you can also use a Dialog engagement in a Multi Question survey.

Use Bar Setting

You can suggest the survey as banner and have it less intrusive to the user through the global settings

Enable Thank-you step

In case you'd like to offer any next steps or provide and perks, using the thank you step can be useful. You'll need to switch it on since by default it is off.

Step Settings

The middle tab represents the step settings you're on. you can customize the step look & feel and the relevant effects such as overlay, navigation, timeout and more.

Global Settings

The right tab represents the global engagement settings if you'd like to set defaults that can be applied on all the steps.

Preview

Using the 'eye' icon you can review your experience on the required Gainsight page.
