How to use the new Gainsight Home experience?

To know more about the new Gainsight Home experience, refer to the Change Document for Gainsight Home article.

When will everyone be migrated to the new Gainsight Home?

Old layouts will eventually migrate to the new experience. More details on the plan and timeline will be communicated in the future.

Is there any limitation with the new Gainsight Home design?

Yes, Gainsight recommends including no more than four KPIs per tile for the best visual experience.

Will the new Gainsight Home design automatically apply to existing home pages, or only to new pages published going forward?

The new Gainsight Home design will only apply to new Home pages published going forward. Existing Gainsight Home pages will not be automatically updated with new design.

Note: The new experience applies only to newly created layouts. To use the new design, existing layouts must be migrated.

Can the existing custom Gainsight Home layouts be automatically moved to the new Home?

Layouts can be migrated to the new Gainsight Home experience under the following conditions:

  • The recommended CSM GS Home layout is migrated by default for all users.
  • Admins can migrate layouts individually either from the Admin configuration page or the Personalized Home page.
Note: Old layouts will eventually migrate to the new experience. More details on the plan and timeline will be communicated in the future.

For more information on migration, refer to the Migration Plan for Admins and CSMs section in the Change Document for Gainsight Home article.

If users switch to the new experience, can they switch back to the old experience?

No, once a layout is migrated to the new experience, it cannot be reverted to the old one. The old experience will only be available for layouts that have not been migrated..

Will the new GS Home enhancements keep the current layouts of the CSMs?

Yes. The enhancements will retain the current layouts of the CSMs.

Can admins lock global filters in the new Gainsight Home to restrict CSMs to viewing only their accounts?

No, admins cannot lock global filters in the new Gainsight Home to restrict CSMs to viewing only their accounts.

Will the global filters work more like Dashboard filters, giving admins more flexibility in how they apply to reports?

No, the global filters will not work like Dashboard filters, and admins will not have additional flexibility in applying them to reports.

Can reports that use Data Designs be added in the new Gainsight Home design?

Yes, you can add reports created with Data Design objects to Gainsight Home in the new design. However, global filters cannot be applied to these reports in Gainsight Home, and this limitation remains unchanged in the new design.
