Does the Gainsight Outlook plugin use Exchange Web Services (EWS) or Legacy Authentication Tokens to authenticate with Exchange Online?

No. Gainsight does not use Exchange Web Services (EWS) or legacy authentication methods. The plugin supports only modern authentication protocols.

Does Gainsight support modern authentication using REST, OAuth, or Microsoft Graph?

Yes. Gainsight uses OAuth 2.0 and integrates with the Microsoft Graph API to enable all supported Outlook features.

Is Gainsight approved by Microsoft?

Yes. Gainsight’s integrations are registered Azure applications that comply with Microsoft’s guidelines for third-party apps. The Outlook add-in is also listed on Microsoft AppSource, indicating Microsoft’s validation and approval.

Why do I see a spinning wheel when logging into Gainsight Assist in Outlook (Browser)?

If you encounter a persistent spinning wheel when trying to log in to Gainsight Assist using Outlook in your browser, the issue may be related to blocked pop-ups. Look for a pop-up icon at the end of the URL in the address bar. It may indicate a blocked action.
