This article helps you to be up to date with your data and set up customized alerts for your analytics.

Overview

Alerts are a form of automated, query-based reports sent to your email when the set of conditions is met. These threshold-based notifications can alert you about important changes in reporting data so you always stay informed.

Important: This feature is available in the Enterprise plan only.

Set up the Alerts

Setting up an alert in Gainsight allows you to stay informed about key metrics. To set alerts:

  1. Identify the metric you want to monitor.
  2. Click on the bell icon located in the top right corner of the dashboard.
  3. Before setting up the alert, you can apply filters to narrow down the specific conditions for the alert.
  4. Ensure that your filters are selected according to your preferences.
  5. After clicking on the bell icon, a setup window will appear.
  6. Add the conditions that will trigger the alert.
  7. Specify how frequently the system should check for these conditions.
  8. Give your alert a meaningful name.
  9. Save your changes.

Manage Your Alerts

  • After saving the alert, you will see it listed among all active alerts on the dashboard.
  • You can add more alerts by repeating the steps above.

Alerts can be set up in many different reports and dashboards.
