Works Council Compliance

Overview

Works Council Compliance is a privacy configuration in Staircase AI that restricts visibility into individual employee activity data across the platform. Organizations subject to European Works Council agreements or similar employee privacy regulations can turn on this setting to ensure Staircase AI complies with their employee privacy obligations.

When the Works Council Compliance checkbox is selected, individual employee activity data is restricted from view for all users including admins. The data is not deleted. It is restricted from visibility only. All customer-level intelligence remains accessible.

Restricted Areas

When the Works Council Compliance checkbox is selected, the following areas are restricted:

Users Section

The Users section remains available, but individual employee activity and effort data are removed. The Users table continues to show CRM-sourced information and whether each user has Staircase AI access and a synced inbox. Per-user activity metrics such as emails sent, meetings attended, and response time are not displayed and cannot be added to the table.

Team Effort Report

Staircase AI removes the Team Effort report from the Reports section. Individual activity metrics per user including emails sent, meetings attended, and response time are not accessible.

Relationship Heat Map

The relationship heat map at the individual user level is not accessible. Account-level relationship data remains accessible.

Activity Columns in Reports

The following columns are removed from all reports across the platform when the Works Council Compliance checkbox is selected:

• Emails sent per user
• Meetings attended per user
• Response time per user

Executive Dashboard

Individual user widgets on the Executive Dashboard are hidden. Aggregate team metrics remain accessible.

Areas Not Affected

The following areas remain accessible when the Works Council Compliance checkbox is selected:

• Account health scores
• AI-generated insights
• Lifecycle events
• Topics
• Executive Dashboard aggregate metrics
• Ask Staircase
• All account-level reports

Activate Works Council Compliance

To turn on Works Council Compliance:

1. Log in to Staircase AI as an admin.
2. From the left navigation pane, click the settings icon.
3. In the Configurations section, click Privacy & Security.
4. Scroll down and select the Works Council Compliance checkbox.
   
   
    
5. Click Submit.
