Overview

You can write account-level insights and stakeholder data from Staircase AI back to Gainsight CS by configuring field mappings in Staircase settings. This allows Gainsight to consume Staircase-generated insights, such as engagement or risk indicators directly on the Company object.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that:

  • You have admin access to Staircase AI.
  • The target field already exists in Gainsight CS (standard or custom).

Staircase AI cannot create fields in Gainsight. If the required field does not exist, create the field in Gainsight CS before configuring the mapping.

Configure Field Mapping

To map Staircase AI data to Gainsight CS:

  1. Log in to Staircase AI.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Configurations > Fields > Account fields.
  3. Scroll down to the Write fields to Gainsight section.

  4. Review existing mapping. For example, the Insight detected field in Staircase AI is mapped to the Account Dark (Staircase AI) field in Gainsight CS. These mappings control which Staircase AI insights are written back to Gainsight CS.
  5. (Optional) To add a new field, click + Add field. The Map Staircase AI field to Gainsight company field dialog box appears. 
  6. Select a source field from the Staircase AI. You can choose from the Staircase AI field to map dropdown list or choose one from the commonly used fields section.

  7. Click Next.
  8. Select the destination field in Gainsight CS from the Field in Gainsight dropdown list. This can be a standard Company object field, or a custom Company object field you created.

  9. Click Save.

Once configured, Staircase AI insights flow automatically into Gainsight CS, making AI-driven context available directly in your CSM workflows.

Admins can increase or decrease the maximum text field length by selecting the edit icon next to Max text field length (chars).
