SCIM Provisioning FAQS

This article addresses the FAQs for the SCIM Provisioning for dashboard users.

This article addresses the FAQs for the SCIM Provisioning for dashboard users.

Does SCIM provision learner accounts?

No. SCIM provisioning manages only dashboard users. Learner provisioning continues to work through SSO, API, or self-registration.

Which identity providers are supported?

Any SCIM 2.0 compliant identity provider, such as Okta, Entra ID (Azure AD), OneLogin, and other major providers, works out of the box.

Is there an additional cost for SCIM provisioning?

No, SCIM provisioning is included with the Skilljar Professional and Enterprise packages.

Can I have multiple SCIM tokens?

Yes. You can generate multiple tokens, which is useful when connecting staging and production identity provider environments, or when transitioning between providers.

What happens if I revoke a SCIM token?

Any integrations using the revoked token stop processing immediately. Users already provisioned remain active in Skilljar, but no new provisioning or deprovisioning events are processed until a new token is configured.

What happens when a user is re-provisioned?

If a user who was previously deprovisioned is re-added to a Skilljar-mapped group in your identity provider, their existing Skilljar account is reactivated, not duplicated.
