Overview

AI Tutor is a virtual teaching assistant that leverages artificial intelligence to deliver personalized and interactive learning support. It enhances the learner experience by answering course-related questions and providing real-time feedback.

Note: The AI Tutor button is available only for HTML, video (with transcripts), and audio lessons. It is not supported for SCORM or web package lessons.

Enable AI Tutor for Lessons

Perform the following steps to enable AI Tutor for lessons:

1. Open the Skilljar Dashboard.
2. Expand Domain & Publishing header on the left, and select Domains. 
3. Click Domain Settings of the domain where AI Tutor needs to be enabled.
    
4. Navigate to Feature Settings, and select Enable “AI Tutor” feature checkbox.
    
5. Click Update Feature Settings to save the changes. The Ask AI Tutor button appears for compatible lesson types, such as HTML, video lessons with transcripts, and audio lessons.
    
6. Click the Ask AI Tutor button. The AI chat box appears. You can ask your queries about the course.
    

Customize AI Tutor

Perform the following steps to customize the AI Tutor icon and color accent:

1. Open the Skilljar Homepage.
2. Expand the Theming header on the left, and select Themes. 
3. In the Themes page, select the required theme. 
4. Navigate to the AI Tutor section and click the Plus (+) icon.
    
5. Under Icon, upload an image for the AI Tutor icon. 
6. Enter a hex code in the Chat UI Accent Color field to customize the chat accent color
    
7. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.
