Configure Catalog Page Settings

This article helps Skilljar Starter admins manage page-level settings, such as page name, URL, visibility, SEO metadata, and access, that fall outside of layout and style.

This article helps Skilljar Starter admins manage page-level settings, such as page name, URL, visibility, SEO metadata, and access, that fall outside of layout and style.

Overview

While the Edit Layout, Style, and Settings options in the admin toolbar handle the structure, appearance, and embedded scripts of a Catalog Page, the Catalog Page Settings option provides the broader settings interface for the page itself. These settings cover page-level configuration that applies across the entire page, regardless of layout or visual styling.

Catalog Page Settings typically include the page name, URL slug, visibility (public or restricted), SEO metadata, and other page-level controls. The settings appear in a dedicated configuration view rather than as an inline panel on the page.

Access Catalog Page Settings

To open the page-level settings for a Catalog Page:

  1. Open your Skilljar dashboard.
  2. Expand the Domains & Publishing header on the left, and select Domain.
  3. From the required domain, click Catalog Pages.
  4. Click the three-dots horizontal icon, and select Edit Settings.

  5. Review and update the following page-level settings:
  • Page name and internal description.
  • URL used for the learner-facing link.
  • Visibility: public, unlisted, or restricted.
  • SEO metadata: page title, meta description, social preview image.
  • Access rules or audience filters, if applicable.
  1. Click Save. The updated settings apply to the Catalog Page.

Note: Catalog Page Settings differ from the inline Settings option in the admin toolbar. The inline Settings option controls scripts and embedded behaviors, while Catalog Page Settings control page-level configuration.
