Deprecation of Old In-App Product Mapper
Based on your continuous feedback, we are pleased to share that the new version of the in-app product mapper for WebApp products has been very well received, indicating increased adoption and usage. As a result, starting August 31, 2024, Gainsight will deprecate the older mapper experience in PX, and the ability to switch to the old product mapper experience using the V1 button will no longer be available.
Enhancements
Engagements
[Know More]Automation Settings in Guide and Survey Engagements
The Motion Effect configuration available exclusively in Dialog engagements is now available in Guide (V2) and Survey engagements, providing you a seamless engagement creation experience. The following two configurations are available for guides and surveys engagements:
- Timeout: Automatically closes the engagement after a set period, ensuring it does not linger and disrupt user experience.
- Initial Delay: Introduces a delay before an engagement is triggered, allowing the user to interact with the page content before the engagement appears.
Example Business Use Cases:
- Delay survey engagements to allow users time to interact with the page before requesting feedback.
- Trigger a help prompt after a delay if a user appears to be inactive or struggling on a page.
- Use a timeout to automatically close engagements that display sensitive information, after a period of user inactivity.
- Automatically close promotional engagements after a set time to ensure they do not interfere with their navigation experience.
This update is designed to provide greater flexibility and control over user interactions, ensuring a seamless experience across all engagement types.
For more information on how to use Automation Settings in guide engagements, refer to the Step Settings section in the Know your Editor article.
Analytics
[Know More]Optimized Grouped By Selection Experience in Feature Adoption Reports
We have revamped the Grouped By selection experience in the Feature Adoption report to make it faster and easier to use. The Choose option now features a new slide-out panel that makes it more intuitive to search and select from a list of features, countries, or other selected options.
For more information, refer to the Group Adoption Report Data section in the Adoption Analysis article.
Improved Visibility into Open Text Responses of Multi-Question Surveys
We have improved the Multi-Question Survey Performance report for enhanced discoverability and analysis. Now, you can view responses to open-text questions directly on the summary page. This enhancement provides a quick list of recent responses without the need to navigate to specific questions, and allows you to view all responses with the click of a button.
Furthermore, survey respondents’ answers across all questions are now highlighted in the drill-down view, eliminating the need for further navigation to view other responses.
For more information, refer to the Analyze Multi Question Survey Results section in the Understand Engagement Analytics article.
Dashboards
[Know More]Compare and Analyze Widget Data Effortlessly with the Comparison Widget
KPI widgets in PX Dashboard now include a powerful capability, the Comparison widget that allows you to compare two scenarios of a widget. These comparisons can be carried out with different sets of filters such as date, channel (web app, mobile, or desktop), custom filters, and Global Context applied. The Comparison widget provides insights into data changes, both in value and percentage, indicating trends. It further eliminates the need for multiple side-by-side widgets.
Example business use cases:
- Assess the performance of a feature by comparing the Feature KPI widget’s data from the current year with the previous year.
- Evaluate the impact of a new feature by analyzing user session data from 30 days before and after the feature launch.
- Analyze the change in the stickiness of a product across two different sets of time periods, filters, and channels.
For more information on how to set up a Comparison widget, refer to the Configure Comparison Widgets article.
Improved Information Visibility in the Feature Performance Widget
The Feature Performance widget is improved to streamline analysis and make identifying information easier than before. The key enhancements include:
- Feature Name Legend: The feature name is available as a legend directly on the widget. This eliminates the need to hover to view the feature names in a tooltip, and presents all the required information upfront. Additionally, when you take a screenshot of the feature widget, the feature names are visible directly on the widget
- Widget Dimension: Customize the dimension of the widget using the new Change Layout option for a more refined and tailored legend and dashboard experience.
For more information, refer to the Reports section in the Widgets in Gainsight PX article.
