Set Score 2.0 Action Type

This article guides admins to configure the Set Score 2.0 action type in the Rules Engine.

Overview

You can use the Set Score 2.0 action type in Rules Engine to set the score for a Company or a Relationship.

Gainsight recommends reading the configuration of the Rules Details, Data Setup, and Schedule steps before reading this article. For more information, refer to the Create New Rule section of the Rules Engine Horizon Experience article.

Configure Set Score 2.0 Action Type

To configure the Set Score 2.0 action type in the Rules Engine:

  1. In the Action Setup step, hover on the dataset. The Add Action icon appears.
  2. Click the Add Action icon. The Add Criteria slide-out panel appears.
  3. (Optional) Click Add Criteria to define a filter criteria for the dataset.
  4. Click Continue. The Add Actions step appears.
  5. From the Create Action drop-down list, select the Set Score 2.0 action type.
  1. In the Set Score 2.0 section, provide the following details:
    • (Optional) Description: Enter a description for the rule.
    • Company Identifier: Select an identifier which uniquely identifies a Company.
      Note: If Relationship is selected in the Rules Details step, then select the Relationship Identifier.

    • Measure: Select the measure whose score has to be set.
    • Scorecard: Select at least one Scorecard. This field displays the list of Scorecards that use the selected Measure.
    • Set Score From: Select a field from the object. By default, the value is set as Scorecard Schema.
      • Scale Field Value: If the scale option is not selected, then any value outside this range is not set.

    • Set Score: Select the score.
    • (Optional) Comment:  You can add comments in this field. These comments are displayed in the Comments section of the scorecard on the C360/R360 page.
      Note: If this field is left blank, then any previous comment on the measure is overwritten with a null value in the List View of C360/R360.
  2. Click Save Actions. The Set Score 2.0 action is saved successfully.

The Rules Execution Excel sheet displays these details; Company Name, Scorecard Name, Current Score, Current Label, Previous Score, and so on to avoid confusion about GSID. However, this improvement is only applicable to the Set Score 2.0 action type, and not yet implemented in the Load to Scorecard History action type.
