Does Gainsight count inactive users and Gainsight users (who are added for the initial setup of customer org) as licensed users?
No, Gainsight does not count inactive users and Gainsight users (who are added for the initial setup of customer org) as licensed users.
Is Gainsight going to restrict unlicensed users from day 1 of this implementation?
Currently, Unlicensed users will be able to sign in to the Gainsight but they will not be able to access any pages in Gainsight. however, Unlicensed users will be restricted to sign in the future.
What will happen to the Unlicensed users?
They will remain in the system and if Admins want to assign license types they can do so.
Can customers report on the type and number of licenses used by them?
Yes, customers can create a report and view license usage details. For more information, refer to the Create Report on License Type in the User License Provisioning article.
What happens when a licensed user is made inactive?
License will be revoked and it becomes available to assign to different users. Licenses can only be assigned to active users.
Note: If the inactive users are made active again they will retain licenses assigned before they were made inactive.
Can I change the license of Super Admin?
No, you can not change the license type of Super admin.
Can I change the license type of a Full or Viewer licensed user to Unlicensed type?
No, as of now you can not change the license type of a Full or Viewer licensed user to Unlicensed type. However, you can make them inactive if you want to remove the assigned license type for them.
Can I assign a license through Rules Engine while creating users?
No, you can not assign a license through Rules Engine.
Can I assign licenses to multiple users in bulk?
Yes, you can assign licenses to multiple users from the User management page. For more information, refer to the User License Management article.
