Customer Communities (CC) Objects

The data sync from Customer Communities to Gainsight is categorized in the following objects:

Core Entity Objects

Core Entity is an object group that contains consolidated data from all community objects. If you are connecting with multiple community tenants, data from those tenants is consolidated into these objects.

Community Content Object

The Community Content object stores and manages various types of content, including topics, replies, and posts, within the community platform.

Field Description
Author Id A lookup object to the Community User refers to unique identifier of the user who created a piece of content: topic or reply
Category Name Contains the category name in which the content was posted
Module Indicates whether the module category is associated with the Community or the Knowledge Base.
Closed At Refers to the date and time when a topic is marked as closed, indicating that no further replies can be posted to the topic while it remains visible for viewing.
Company Lookup to GS Company record.
Company Person Lookup to Company Person record.
Post Created At Contains the timestamp indicating when the post was initially created
Content Data Identifier Used for mapping connections between Community Activity and Community Trend data.
Context ID Refers to the public identifier that uniquely identifies a post ( topic or reply) or category
Post Moderated At Refers to the date and time when the topic was most recently reviewed or managed by a moderator, indicating the latest moderation action taken on it
Post Moderated By Refers to the unique  identifier of the user (typically a moderator or administrator) who last performed moderation actions on the post
Post Modified At Refers to the date and time when the most recent edit or modification was made to a post
Context Indicates the context of the content whether is a topic, reply, category or group
Content Type Identifies the type of content, such as article, product update, question, idea, discussion
GS Created By Indicates who created the record in Gainsight.
GS Created Date Indicates when the Gainsight record was created
GS Modified By Indicates who last modified the record in Gainsight
GS Modified Date Indicates when the Gainsight record was modified in Gainsight
Best Answer or Pinned Reply ID Refers to the reply ID that was marked best answer or pinned to the topic
Idea Status Refers to the label indicating the current stage of an idea in its lifecycle
Idea Status Changed At Refers to the date and time when the status of an idea was last changed
Ideation Type Refers to the type assigned to an ideations status It can have one from the following values: open, closed, delivered
Last Activity At Refers to the date and time of the most recent interaction with the post
Last Reply At Indicates when the last response was posted.
Main Topic Public ID Refers to the unique identifier of the topic that identifies the opening topic platform-wide
Marked Spam At Indicates when topic was marked as spam
Marked Spam By Refers to the unique identifier of the user who marked topic as spam
Person ID Lookup to Person Object.
Published At Indicates when the article or product update was officially published and made publicly accessible
Source Hub Name Contains the community ID where the activity was executed
Topic Title Refers to the headline or name given to a opening topic, summarizing its content
Trashed At Indicates the date and time the content was Trashed.
URL Specifies the complete URL for the post.
First Reply At Indicates when the first response was posted.
First Reply ID Refers to the unique identifier of the first reply to the opening post
Total Replies Indicates the total response count.

Community Activity Object

The Community Activity object stores user activity/interactions (currently limited to only View) within the CS community.

Field

Description

Activity Date

Indicates the time when the activity took place.

Context ID 

Contains unique identifier of the context in which the operation was executed (community post Id, category Id, rank, group, event, badge )

Community User Id

Indicates the User ID found in the Community User Object. Contains the unique identifier of the person that identifies community user platform-wide and associates with Community User Object.

Company

Associates with the Company object.

Company Person

Associates with the Company Person object.

Context

indicates the context in which the operation was executed (community post, category, rank, group, event, badge etc )

Operation

specifies the type of action performed by the user or system, such as "create," "update," "delete," or "view,"

Person Id

Associates with the Person object.

SEO Url

contains the web address that links directly to the content

Source Hub Name

contains the community ID where the activity was executed

Community Trend Object 

The Community Trend object captures and presents trends related to user activity and content engagement within the community platform.

Field Description
Activity Date Displays the date when the activity took place.
Articles Created Indicates the number of articles created.
Articles Views Indicates the number of views for articles.
Category Views Indicates the number of views for a category.
Community User ID Indicates the User ID found in the Community User Object.
Company Associates with the Company object.
Company Person Associates with the Company Person object.
Discussions Created Indicates the number of discussions created.
Discussions Views Indicates the number of discussions viewed.
Idea Views Indicates the number of ideas viewed.
Ideas Created Indicates the number of ideas created.
Page / Post Views Represents the aggregate of Topic Views, Reply Views, and Category Views.
Person Id Associates with the Person object.
Product Update Created Indicates the number of product updates created.
Product Update Views Indicates the number of product updates viewed.
Questions Created Indicates the number of questions created.
Questions Views Indicates the number of questions viewed.
Source Hub Name Indicates the Customer Community Hub name.
Topic Replies Created Indicates the number of topic-replies created.
Topic Reply Views Indicates the number of topic-replies viewed.
Topic Views Indicates the number of topics viewed.
Topics Created Specifies a count that merges all topic subtypes, determined through a distinct grouping of Created Time, Community user and Source Hub Name.
Topics Viewed Indicates the number topics viewed
User Created Represents users created based on the activity date and company ID.

Raw Objects 

Raw objects allow access to granular data for every Community connected.

Community {tenant-name} User Object

The community User data includes information about all community members,  Topics, Replies, Idea Status, and Categories which are synced into Gainsight automatically.

Field Description
A Bit About Yourself Offers a brief overview or personal narrative about the user, allowing them to share their background, interests, or experiences, provided by the user on their profile page.
Badges Specifies the titles or identifiers of the badges
Badges Dropdown Contains a semicolon-separated list of user badges
Email Refers to the user's email address
Company Shows the CS Company record to which the Community user has been mapped.
Community User Id Refers to the unique identifier of the person that identifies the user platform-wide.
Profile Picture Specifies the URL of the image selected for the user's profile.
Rank Id Refers to the unique identifier assigned to a specific rank within the community
Company Custom Represents the name of the organization or business with which the user is affiliated, provided by the user on their profile page.
Custom Roles Dropdown Contains a semicolon-separated list of user custom roles
Department Contains user's organizational department based on the details provided on their profile page
First Name Contains user's name as provided on their profile page.
Last Name Contains user's surname as entered on their profile page.
Groups Dropdown Contains a semicolon-separated list of user groups
Username Refers to the username or display name of a user within the communitySpecifies the chosen name for the user's account.
Signature Refers to the signature defined by the user within the community, as one of the profile fieldsSpecifies the user's designated signature.
GS Modified By Indicates who last modified the record in Gainsight
GS Created By Indicates who created the record in Gainsight.
GS Created Date Indicates when the Gainsight record was created
Person Shows the CS Person record to which the Community user has been mapped.
Registered On Specifies the date when the user registered.
Last Activity At Contains the timestamp of the most recent activity performed by the user
Job Title Describes the user's professional position or role, provided by the user on their profile page
Is a Moderator Indicates whether a user has moderator privileges within the community.
Company Person Indicates the record that links a Person with a specific company in Gainsight Community.
GS Modified Date Indicates when the Gainsight record was modified in Gainsight
GSID Shows the unique identifier within the Gainsight system, used for tracking and managing user records.
Linkedin Profile Contains the URL to the user's LinkedIn profile, which is provided by the user on their profile page.
Primary Roles Dropdown Contains the user’s primary role
Rank Dropdown Contains a unique identifier assigned to a specific rank within the community.
Roles Refers to the names or titles that define a specific role within the community, where each user can have one primary role and multiple custom roles assigned.
Secondary Email Additional email address provided by the user on their profile page.
User Title Refers to the title assigned to a user within the community, defined as one of the profile field.

Community {tenant-name} Topic Object

The Community Topic data includes topics created or updated by community members. This data is synced into Gainsight automatically.

Field Description
Answer Id A unique identifier of a reply that has been marked as the best answer
Assigned By Indicates the unique identifier of the user who assigned the idea to another user
Assigned To Refers to the unique identifier of the user to whom the idea has been assigned for further action, facilitating responsibility and workflow management
Author Id Refers to unique identifier of the user who created a piece of content, topic, reply, or event, identifying the original creator within the community
Category Id Refers to the unique identifier assigned to a specific category within the community
Closed At Refers to the date and time when a topic is marked as closed, indicating that no further replies can be posted to the topic while it remains visible for viewing.
Content Type Identifies the type of content, such as article, product update, question, idea, or discussion.
Created At Contains the timestamp indicating when the topic was initially created.
Created By On Community Contains the unique identifier of the user who created the topic.
Featured Image Refers to the primary image attached to a post, representing the content visually.
GS Created By Indicates who created the record in Gainsight.
GS Created Date Indicates when the Gainsight record was created.
GS Modified By Indicates who last modified the record in Gainsight.
GS Modified Date Indicates when the Gainsight record was modified in Gainsight.
GSID Shows the unique identifier within the Gainsight system, used for tracking and managing user records.
Idea Status Refers to the unique identifier assigned to a specific idea status.
Idea Status Changed At Refers to the date and time when the status of an idea was last changed.
IP Address Refers to the unique numerical label assigned to a user's device by an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to identify and locate it on a network.
Is Preview Public Indicates whether the preview of content, such as an article or product update, is restricted to moderators or available to all users.
Is Sticky Indicates whether a topic is set to stick to the top of the page, making it always visible to users within the community.
Last Activity At Refers to the date and time of the most recent interaction with the topic.
Last Edit Id Links to the topic_edit_history table, which contains the history of modifications made to topics, indicating the most recent edit entry for a particular topic.
Last Moderated At Refers to the date and time when the topic was most recently reviewed or managed by a moderator, indicating the latest moderation action taken on it.
Last Moderated By Refers to the unique identifier of the user (typically a moderator or administrator) who last performed moderation actions on the topic.
Last Modified At Refers to the date and time when the most recent edit or modification was made to a topic.
Marked Spam At Indicates when topic was marked as spam.
Marked Spam By Refers to the unique identifier of the user who marked topic as spam.
Moderation Label Id Refers to the unique identifier of the assigned to moderation label and indicates the current status within a moderator-defined workflow.
Pinned Reply Id Refers to the unique identifier of a reply that has been pinned to the topic.
Private Id Refers to the unique identifier of the topic, which identifies the opening topic within the Content Type.
Public Id Refers to the unique identifier of the topic that identifies the opening topic platform-wide.
Public Label Represents a user-friendly title or identifier that serves as a concise description of the topic's content or purpose.
Published At Indicaties when the article or product update was officially published and made publicly accessible.
Reported At Refers to the date and time when a topic was reported.
Scheduled By Refers to the unique identifier of the user who scheduled a topic (article or product update) to be published.
Title Refers to the headline or name given to a topic, summarizing its content.
Trashed At Refers to the headline or name given to a topic, summarizing its content.
Url Specifies the URL of the topic.

Community{tenant-name} Category Object

The Community Category data includes information about all types of Category such as Article, Discussion, Idea, Product Update, or Question. This data is  synced into Gainsight automatically. 

Field Description
Category Id

Refers to the unique identifier assigned to a specific category within the community.

Description Refers to the category description.
Display Order Refers to the order/ hierarchy in which categories are displayed within the community.
GS Created By Indicates who created the record in Gainsight.
GS Created Date Indicates when the Gainsight record was created.
GS Modified By Indicates who last modified the record in Gainsight.
GS Modified Date Indicates when the Gainsight record was modified in Gainsight.
GSID Shows the unique identifier within the Gainsight system, used for tracking and managing user records.
Hide From Search Indicates whether a category is excluded from search results within the community, making it less discoverable by users.
Include For Stats Indicates whether user activity in this category is included in the user statistics, and used to unlock ranks.
Last Poster Id Refers to the unique identifier of the user who made the most recent post, either a topic or a reply, in a category.
Last Reply Id Refers to the unique identifier of the last reply added in the category.
Last Topic Id Refers to the unique identifier of the last topic added in the category.
Meta Robots Refers to the meta tag used in the HTML of a web page within the community platform that instructs web crawlers and search engines on how to index and follow links on that page, with possible values including "index", "noindex", "follow", and "nofollow"..
Parent Id Refers to the unique identifier of the parent item within a category hierarchy.
Seo Description Refers to the detailed descriptions associated with each of the SEO fields, explaining their purpose and how they contribute to the overall search engine optimization strategy.
Seo Title Refers to the meta title tag used for search engine optimization, representing the title of the page as it should appear in search engine results, aimed at improving search rankings and user engagement..
Show Description On Homepage Indicates whether the description of a category is displayed on the homepage within the community.
Status Indictes if the category is visble in the community.
Title Refers to the category title.
Type Indicates the type of category ( community, knowledge base).
Url Specifies the complete URL for the post.

Community {tenant-name} IdeaStatus

The Community Idea Status data indicates the type of the status. This data is synced into Gainsight automatically.

Field Description
Bgr Color Refers to the specific background color assigned to visually distinguish different statuses of ideas.
GS Created By Indicates who created the record in Gainsight.
GS Created Date Indicates when the Gainsight record was created
GS Modified By Indicates who last modified the record in Gainsight
GS Modified Date Indicates when the Gainsight record was modified in Gainsight
GSID A unique identifier within the Gainsight system, used for tracking and managing user records.
Idea Status Id Refers to the unique identifier assigned to a specific idea status.
Ideation Type Refers to the type assigned to an ideations status It can have one from the following values: open, closed, delivered.
Is Default Indicates whether a status is the default choice within the community.
Name Refers to the label indicating the current stage of an idea in its lifecycle.
Txt Color Refers to a specific color associated with the status of an idea.
Visible Indicates whether a status is visible to users within the community.

Community {tenant-name} TopicReply Object

The Community Topic Reply data includes information related to the content of replies to topics posted in the community. This data is synced into Gainsight automatically.

Field Description
Author Id Refers to unique identifier of the user who created a piece of content, topic, reply, or event, identifying the original creator within the community.
Content Type Identifies the type of content, such as article, product update, question, idea, discussion.
GS Created By Indicates who created the record in Gainsight.

Is Highlighted Refers to highlighting status, which is a visual representation in the UI.
Last Modified At Refers to the date and time when the most recent edit or modification was made to a reply.
Marked Spam At Indicates when reply was marked as spam.
Marked Spam By Refers to the unique identifier of the user who marked reply as spam.
Private Id Refers to the unique identifier assigned to a reply that identifies the reply within the Content Type.
Public Id Refers to the unique identifier assigned to a reply that identifies it within the platform.
Replied At Refers to the date and time when a reply was posted within a topic.
Topic Private Id Refers to the unique identifier of the topic, that identifies the opening topic within the Content Type.
Topic Public Id Refers to the unique identifier of the topic that identifies the opening topic platform-wide.
Trashed At Refers to the date and time whenthe reply was moved to the trash, indicating it is no longer visible to regular users within the community.
Url Specifies the URL of the reply.
