New Features

Native Waitlist Feature for Seamless Enrollment 

We are thrilled to introduce our innovative native Waitlist feature for the Instructor-Led Training module, designed to streamline and improve the registration process for fully booked sessions. This feature empowers both learners and administrators, offering detailed, step-by-step guidance accessible directly through our user-friendly interface. Ensuring inclusivity, it accommodates users of all abilities and tech proficiency levels.

Key capabilities of our new feature include:

  • Self-Service Waitlist Registration: Participants can now add themselves to a waitlist directly through the user interface, eliminating the need for manual entry and ensuring they have the opportunity to attend their desired sessions.
  • Real-Time Communications: Automatic notifications keep waitlisted individuals informed about their status and available openings. The waitlist operates on a FIFO (First In, First Out) basis, ensuring that multiple users cannot occupy the same spot. As seats become available, learners on the waitlist are automatically registered.
  • Streamlined and Automated Waitlist Management: Administrators can now manage waitlists effortlessly with automated tools that handle enrollment changes and updates without manual intervention.
  • Real-Time Visibility into Training Demand: With enhanced reporting features, administrators can instantly view how many potential participants are waitlisted for sessions, aiding in better planning and resource allocation.

This feature is now available and can be accessed through the training management portal. We encourage both learners and administrators to utilize this new functionality to improve the registration experience and optimize session attendance.

Enhanced Search Report Features for Deeper Insights and Improved User Experience

The newly introduced search report functionality provides in-depth insights into user search behaviors within the Academy. It delivers comprehensive analytics on search terms, frequency, results, and click metrics. This enables customers to gain a better understanding of the content being searched and the success rate of these searches, assisting administrators and content creators in enhancing content visibility and relevance based on actual user data.

Key Improvements:

  • Personalized View: Users now have the flexibility to rearrange these columns according to their preferences, enhancing the personalization of data viewing while maintaining standardization with other analytics modules for a cohesive experience.
  • Tailored Filters for Enhanced Relevance: Filters in analytics reports are predefined and specifically tailored to each report to ensure the relevance and simplification of data analysis. For instance, course progress filters are available in course-related reports to meet the unique analytical needs of different contexts, whereas they are excluded in general search query reports.

Introducing API for Near to Real-Time Learning Progress Insights 

With this release, we are excited to announce the launch of our new, publicly available API. It is designed to access near to real-time information on how users are progressing in their learning activities. This API addresses the following significant benefits:

  • Eliminates reliance on webhooks: Obtain data directly, bypassing the need for complex webhook setups.
  • Improves data integration: Seamlessly integrates learning data into existing products, processes, and workflows.
  • Enhances analytics capabilities: Provides a robust alternative to our previous/ existing analytics features, tailored to meet advanced content assignment needs. 

This ensures that admins can manage learning environments more effectively and efficiently.

Enhanced Customization for Instructor-Led Training (ILT) Notifications Using New Personalization Token

In the latest update to Gainsight CE, a new feature enhances the functionality of custom Instructor-Led Training (ILT) notifications. Customers now have the ability to include the specific name of an ILT event directly within their customized notifications. This enhancement is made possible through the introduction of a new personalization token. This token allows for dynamic insertion of the ILT event name, ensuring that notifications are both personalized and directly relevant to the recipients. This addition is designed to improve communication, clarity and engagement by providing recipients with specific and relevant event details.

Unified Authentication Enhancement 

With this release, we are enhancing the user experience for Gainsight CE customers who joined before November 2023 by migrating from Northpass authentication to Gainsight SSO (Single Sign-On). This transition aligns the login process with other Gainsight products, ensuring a more integrated and secure user experience.

Key Benefits:

  • Simplified Login Process: Reduces the number of login credentials users need to remember.
  • Enhanced Usability: Enables seamless navigation between managed academies via the App Switcher.
  • Streamlined Integration: Facilitates smoother data transfer for customers using both Gainsight CE and CS through one-click integration.

Enhanced Usability for SCORM and Quiz Dropdown Menus in Course Builder

We are excited to announce usability enhancements to the Course Builder in Gainsight CE, specifically within SCORM and Quiz activities. To improve the user experience, we have updated the dropdown menus to now include a search function, aligning them with the functionality of other dropdowns across our platform. This new feature is especially beneficial for customers managing a large number of SCORM files or quizzes.

Key Improvements:

  • Search Capability: Users can now quickly search and find specific SCORM files or quizzes directly within the dropdown menu, streamlining the process and saving valuable time.
  • Enhanced Navigation: The previous version displayed all SCORM files or quizzes in one extensive list which, when expanded, could overwhelm the screen and complicate the navigation. The new dropdown design addresses this issue, making it much more user-friendly.

Enhanced Messaging Efficiency with New Clone Feature

With this release, users can now clone the existing messages. This new feature streamlines the communication process by allowing users to replicate previously crafted messages instead of starting from scratch. The task can now be completed with speed and convenience with a reduced number of clicks. It ensures that the style and tone remain consistent across multiple messages, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the communication strategy.

Custom Welcome Message for SSO-Enabled Academies

Academies that use their own Single Sign-On (SSO) for authentication can now implement a personalized Welcome Message. This message is sent when a new learner's account is created, designed to provide a warm welcome and engage them from their first day.
