Enhancements

Boost Engagement with Dynamic Content Widget (OPEN BETA)

Community managers now no longer need to spend time manually updating the community with all latest contributions from community members. Dynamic Content Widget empowers community managers to curate the list of most relevant and interactive content and bring it to the front. The content list then automatically updates every time a user visits the page. As a result, your community always shows the freshest content, and community members gain quick and easy access. Additionally, community managers are able to reduce their workloads by automating the process.

Community managers need to opt-in to the open beta for the Dynamic Content Widget to add it to their widget library. To opt-in to this open beta:

  1. Log in to Control.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Open betas.
  3. Turn on the Dynamic Content Widget toggle.

Enhancements

Customize Email Notification Preferences

Your community members need a better, more focused way to control their email notification preferences. We are excited to roll out a dedicated Notifications tab on the user’s profile Settings page. This tab equips community members with the ability to manage their notification settings, ultimately control email notifications they would like to receive and improve the overall community experience.

To navigate to the Notifications tab:

  1. Log in to your community account.
  2. Click on the user profile icon.
  3. From the drop-down menu, select Settings.
  4. Click Notifications.
  5. Turn on the required toggles.
  6. Click SAVE CHANGES. The email notification preferences are saved successfully.

Note: Gainsight recommends checking the impact of the new URL introduced that directly links to the Notifications tab. (yourcommunity.com/settings/notifications)

For instance, you might have linked to yourcommunity.com/settings/general for your users to manage their notifications like, from a system email, from a community post, and so on. While this URL still works, it now directs them to the General tab that does not show notification settings.

For latest updates, refer to the community post.
