Insights

This article explains how to manage insights in Staircase AI—allowing admins to toggle existing insights on or off, fine-tune rules to target specific account segments, and create custom alerts (for example, low engagement or upcoming renewals) that trigger real-time notifications and populate risk buckets in dashboards.

In this section, you can edit existing insights and create your own custom insights.

Turning Insights On/Off

If you wish to disable any insight, simply click the toggle button to turn them 'off'.

Tuning Insights

Click any row to edit the insight. Once open, you will add filters to communicate to Staircase which accounts you want this particular insight enabled for. For example - all active accounts, or just all tier 'enterprise' accounts, etc.

From there, you will configure the rules for the insight (where applicable). For example, you'll tune the 'account dark' and 'no reach-out' insights to translate your desired engagement frequency by tier into the rule. See the screenshot below for more detail.

Repeat this step for all insights you are leaving in 'on' status. Taking these steps will ensure any insight that arises in Staircase AI or your notification channels are relevant, timely, and actionable depending on the status of the client or prospect.

Create Custom Insights

Scroll to the bottom of this page and you will see a 'add custom insight' button. This is where you can create different rules for your customers to get real time alerts (notifications) when their situation fits into a certain scenario you want to monitor for.

For example, you can create a custom insight that will alert you to the following scenario:

  • Customer is up for renewal this quarter (or next)
  • Customer engagement (or sentiment) score is less than 30 (in the red)
  • Customer hasn't logged in for 30+ days

Once you're done creating your insight. You can click 'test insight' to see which accounts would currently fall into that bucket. Finally, click 'save'.

Once saved, this insight will now show up for any accounts that apply and you can also create a notification for this insight as well as a risk bucket on the Executive Dashboard view.
