Naming Lessons or Files for Upload - Character Limits

The functionality described in this article is not applicable to the Skilljar Starter package.

 

When uploading lessons or uploading files into Skilljar, please keep the following guidelines around the number of characters in mind:

  • Uploaded files must have file name that is less than 500 characters
  • Lesson titles have a limit of 100 characters
  • If you use Bulk Upload tool to also create lessons, any file names that are over 100 characters will get truncated to 100 characters, but a user can always manually update lesson titles of bulk-created lessons.
