Redesigned Advance Programs FAQs

This article addresses the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for the Redesigned Advanced Programs feature.

Is participant field mapping required to create programs?

In the new version, participant field mapping is not required since it supports only one data source. Multiple CSVs can be uploaded, and each CSV must contain a name field or header. However, all the CSVs must contain the same header/column names.

Why are multiple sources not supported in the new version?

In the new version, Gainsight aims to simplify the source configuration process, ensuring a streamlined data preparation step within the program-building experience. Requirements for multiple sources are addressed as additional features or enhancements based on feedback. For instance, the need for multiple sources to support participants in different time zones is resolved by introducing timezone support at the action level in the GA version of the redesigned advanced program.

Note: We are adding support for timezones and allowing participants to be included via CSV files, which can be added alongside other data sources. These enhancements will be rolled out in our upcoming releases.

Is Query Builder available as a data source for adding participants?

Currently, Query Builder is not listed as a data source to add participants.

When will the query builder be available?

The Query Builder will be introduced in the GA release of the Redesigned Advanced Programs. We are evaluating which Query Builder capabilities will be beneficial in simplifying the participant data creation process.

Will the programs that were created in the old version be transferred to the new version?

Programs cannot be transferred from the old version to the new version as of now.

Note: We plan to migrate the old programs into the new version by the end of 2024.

In what scenarios should I use the new version to create programs?

The new version is ideal for creating programs when you need to segregate participants into multiple branches within a journey based on specific conditions, such as roles, locations, or NPS scores.

Is there any impact on existing programs because of open beta?

No, there is no impact on existing programs due to open beta.
