This article explains for admins/security teams what is IP Allow listing and the list of IP Addresses that need to be allowed and not blocked in their firewalls, antivirus, or other network appliances.
IP Allow listing: An allow list is a list of items that are granted access to a certain system or protocol. When an allow list is used, all entities are denied access, except those included in the allowed list.
The following are examples of different allow list applications:
- A network administrator may configure a firewall with a list that only allows specific IP addresses to access the network.
- A protected directory within a website may use an allow list to limit access to certain IP addresses.
- Some email systems can be configured to only accept emails only from email addresses that have been added to a user's allow list.
Gainsight’s IPs for Inclusion in your Allow List
We understand that our customers need to be confident that they are communicating with Gainsight in a secure environment, and we ensure that all infrastructure activities such as All Responses, Instance Refreshes, Site Switches, and Org Migrations, etc. happen only from the following IPs listed below (Gainsights’ Outgoing IPs). Our complete list of IP addresses is mentioned below for your reference when establishing and maintaining your corporate network settings.
Ensure that the following IP Addresses are allowed in your IT infrastructure based on the instance region. For example, if your instance region is in the US, allow the US IPs.
IMPORTANT: Contact your Gainsight Sales Rep or your Customer Success Manager to get the list of IPs.
