AI Tutor Now supports SCORM, PDFs, and Model Providers

Skilljar’s AI Tutor now supports SCORM packages and PDF documents as source content, in addition to existing source content such as HTML, video lessons with transcripts, and audio lessons, giving learners more complete, context-aware assistance across your training curriculum.

With this enhancement, admins can use existing training materials to help AI Tutor answer learner questions, guide practice exercises, and reinforce key concepts.

Admins can also select Anthropic as the LLM powering AI Tutor. This gives admins more flexibility to choose the model that best supports their learning experience. In AI Tutor configuration settings, admins can select their preferred AI model provider, such as OpenAI or Anthropic, to better align AI Tutor performance with their audience and content needs.

Capture More Granular Feedback with a 10-Point Scale

Course ratings now support a 10 point rating scale, giving admins a more detailed way to understand how learners feel about course content.

With this update, admins can choose between the existing five-star scale and a new 1–10 scale. The 10 point scale helps learners provide more granular feedback, helping you identify which courses are performing well and which ones may need improvement.

Admins can also customize the default low and high rating labels, such as Very Dissatisfied and Very Satisfied, to better match their organization’s feedback language.

Publish Richer HTML Lessons with Increased Content Size Support

Skilljar HTML lessons now support up to 6 MB of content, increased from the previous 100 KB limit. This makes it easier to create and publish richer, more branded HTML lessons with embedded assets, custom styling, and interactive elements.

AI-powered and automated content creation workflows can publish larger lessons end-to-end. If your organization uses tools such as Claude, Skilljar MCP, or the Skilljar v1 API to generate and publish HTML lessons, larger lesson payloads are accepted without being rejected due to the previous size limit.

Use Your Domain for Certificate Verification

Admins can now configure certificate redirects from Domain Settings so that certificate links can open under their organization’s own domain instead of a Skilljar certification verification URL.

For example, learners can be directed to a branded verification page such as:

university.yourcompanyname.com/verify/

This gives admins more control over the certificate experience, whether learners should land on a verification page, a congratulations page, a next-steps guide, or another branded destination. This makes it easier to align certificate verification with your organization’s domain, learner journey, and credentialing workflow.
